Susan Rizzo is a figurative, landscape, and abstract artist residing in New Jersey.  She draws upon her passion for color and the shapes and patterns in nature to create impressionistic landscape pieces that transport the viewer to dreamlike, other-worldly places.  Her more traditional landscapes are created using memories of places visited, or are a combination of imagined and real places, to convey an emotional experience. In her figurative work, she places the subject in surroundings – sometimes created with thick layers of texture – to convey the emotional and spiritual experiences that shape our lives.  Recently she has ventured into acrylic pour painting with its spontaneous and playful techniques. All of her paintings invite the viewer to interpret the lines, shapes and colors as a personal experience, thereby creating a unique dialogue between art and audience.
